# Michii — Product Overview

**Michii** is a Chrome extension and web platform that turns any web workflow into an interactive step-by-step guide.

## The Problem Michii Solves

When someone needs to explain a web process — how to submit a form, navigate an internal tool, complete a checkout — they usually resort to screen recordings, long emails, or repetitive live walkthroughs. These are slow to make, hard to update, and even harder to follow.

Michii replaces all of that with a single recorded guide that anyone can follow interactively, at their own pace.

## How It Works

1. **Install** the Michii Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store
2. **Record** — click through your workflow while Michii captures every step with screenshots
3. **Save** — give your guide a name and a shortcut (e.g. `/checkout`)
4. **Share or Play** — share a link, export a PDF, or type the shortcut to replay anytime

## Core Features

### Interactive Playback
Guides play back with a glowing highlight over the exact element to interact with. Users follow at their own pace — no video scrubbing, no confusion.

### PDF Export
Every guide can be exported as a polished PDF with annotated screenshots. No manual screenshotting or layout work required.

### AI Assistant
The built-in AI assistant can answer questions about what's currently on your screen — useful when a user gets stuck mid-guide.

### Shortcut System
Every guide gets a unique shortcut. Type `/onboard` or `/checkout` anywhere in the extension to instantly launch that guide.

### Sharing
- Make guides **public** to appear in the Explore directory
- Share **privately** via email invitation
- Generate a **shareable link** anyone can open without an account

### Privacy Export
Blur sensitive data (passwords, personal information, internal IDs) before exporting PDFs using the privacy export feature.

### Workspace (Teams)
Teams plan users get a shared workspace where multiple creators can build and manage guides together, with collaborative analytics.
